From the Engetal to the Einstein

Description:
A real pleasure hike. The Einstein is one of the most beautiful peaks of the Tannheimer Tal. A wonderful natural scenery, respectively two views of the Einstein are waiting for us. From the Engetal the Einstein looks really inconspicuous, but seen from Tannheim the Einstein appears as a real colossus.

Directions:
We start at the parking lot or bus stop, keep south and follow the signs to Einstein. At the beginning we are going rural, from time to time it gets steeper and steeper. We walk in the forest until we reach the ridge after some time. A wonderful view over the Tannheimer Tal opens up. We hike along the ridge to the summit. After the traditional rest at the summit cross, we hike downhill towards Tannheim. Having reached the district Berg we follow the local road through the underpass to the municipal office. From here we take the bus or taxi or of course we walk back to our car.

Tip:
The last meters to the summit are to be walked with extreme caution.

By bus to the Engetal otherwise you have to pick up your car again.

It should be noted that in mountaineering there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Despite careful route planning, a basic risk always remains. Tour preparation through endurance sports, appropriate technical training and further education as well as personal prudence reduces the danger of accidents and risks. However, please never forget that the weather in the mountains can change very quickly. Stay on the marked hiking trails.

Equipment:
The personal mountaineering equipment must be safe and serviceable and meet the relevant technical standards. Every hiker is recommended to obtain information about the planned tours from specialist alpine literature or on site.
