- Insider tip
On the continuously signposted circular trail across national borders, we encounter cultural sights, great views and unique nature in the Allgäu and Tyrol. During the tour, we pass by various vantage points and attractions (climbing forest, children's playground, refreshment facilities), enjoy the great flair of the surroundings, as well as the natural spectacle around Jungholz, Wertach and the Grüntensee.
Directions:
The starting point is the local car park in Jungholz. From there we walk via the district of Gie?enschwand to the Untere Alpe Reuterwanne, continue in the direction of Vorderreutte to St. Sebastian's Church. There we briefly cross the road and immediately turn left onto the circular path around the Grüntensee. Follow the signs all the way around (past the Seehaus with its climbing forest) until you turn off in the direction of Buronhütte. Past the children's playground (stopover with children) we walk again towards the St. Sebastian Chapel. This time we stay on the path next to the main road and follow the signs back to Jungholz. We continue along the Wertach (stream/river) until the turn-off towards Jungholz meets us. Here we briefly cross the road and walk through the district of Habsbichel, past the Felsenbad Jungholz back to our starting point.
Tip:
Pause at the lake house, send the kids to the climbing forest!
